On the heels of January's Saturday Seminar with innovative educator, Victoria Munroe, MA, we continue to celebrate our collaboration with teachers to help students become the best that they can be. Our March 12th speaker is another dynamo educator, Angela Mahoney, M.Ed., author of I Can Work! Program, A Prevocational Curriculum for Special Needs Programs. Angie has developed a 5-module program that is unique because it integrates hands-on prevocational training with communication skills for special education middle school and high school students. Students transitioning to the community from high school can benefit from this program as well.
On Facebook this week, a teacher praised the I Can Work Program: "When I was introduced to the I Can Work curriculum, I knew it was special,.. It was so different from other vocational curriculums I have used in the past... This was the piece I needed.. . The modules provide comprehensive and clear lesson plans that are easy to use..."
You can read the full testimonial here and we hope that the I Can Work! program will fit into your pre-vocational program!

We accomplish our mission through advocacy, standards, and professional development."
When you visit our booth, you'll meet Angie Mahoney, who will show you how I Can Work! can make prevocational training fun and practical for students. Be sure to stop by and say hello to Angie and Karen to see what's new for the classroom from Therapro.

Website Tip!
|
|
|
Navigating the new Therapro website is easy! If you remember that it is set up like the catalog, it's a breeze. Let's walk through a search for a particular product you want to review or purchase, like handwriting grips.
- Go to the Browse Categories tab and select the category you'd like to view.
- Click on Handwriting, in the drop-down list, which then opens into several different subcategories, one of which is Handwriting Grips & Tools
- When you select Handwriting Grips & Tools, you'll see a display of all 23 pencil grips available.
- When you've decided on the one you want, select it and find out more detailed information about it, the price, how to add it to your wish list, and how to order.
- If you decide it's not quite the grip you want, no need to start the search all over again. Simply go to the listed subcategories you have visited at the top of the page. Place your cursor on the previous subcategory, Pencil Grips, click and you're back to the page that displays all the grips!
